An Appeal Court seated in Akure, has overturned the judgement of the Ondo state high court that sentenced Prophet Babatunde Alfa, popularly known as ‘Prophet Sotitobire’, the founder and G.O of Sotitobire Miracle Church Praising Chapel. ayokinews.com reports
An Ondo stage High Court had earlier in October 2020, sentenced Prophet Sotitobire to life imprisonment following his alleged involvement in the disappearance a 1-year-old boy, named Gold Kolawole in his church in 2019.
The clergyman had prayed to the Appeal Court to nullify the earlier life sentence proclaimed on him by the Ondo state High Court.

Thoroughly looking into the case, the Appeal Court ruled that the circumstantial evidences which the High Court based its judgement, isn’t enough to convict the accused.
The Appeal Court subsequently discharged and acquitted Prophet Sotitobire from all charges.
