Tesla CEO and world’s richest man, Elon Musk, recently slammed the idea of rolling in the highly anticipated Web 3.0 in his tweet on Thursday. ayokinews.com reports
To the surprise of many, the South African-born entrepreneur disagreed with Sam Altman’s positive tweet about Web 3.0. One thing Musk has been famous for in the past few years is sharing his sentiments on Twitter and often stirring controversies.
Web 3.0 From Sam Altman’s Perspective:
Unlike Elon Musk, the President of Y Combinator sees Web 3.0 as a solid foundation for the future of tech and the internet. Sam Altman compared it with the boom of 2010 and indirectly recommended Venture Capitalists to jump on the bandwagon.
The Web 3.0 venture industry was termed ‘dramatic’ by Altman due to the fact that it is expected to massively outperform other ventures.
Musk reacted to Altman’s tweet with the comment; “Web3 sounds like BS”.

As expected, Musk’s reaction gained a lot of attention from his followers as well as that of Altman. A few requested that he gives reasons for tagging Web3 as “bullshit”. Although his reasons were not stated, it seems the billionaire isn’t buying the idea of a near-perfect web just yet.
The Future of Web 3.0:
Without any doubt, Web 2.0 made the internet more fun to use. Unlike Web 1.0 which was static with little to no user interaction. Web 2.0 welcomed user interactions with the web. Thanks to the launch of advanced programming languages like JavaScript and CSS3, tools like Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube have made the internet more fun to use.
These tools encourage content creation and drive user engagement. However, it doesn’t end there. Web 3.0 even promises to be more fun!
The idea of Web 3.0 paves the way for new possibilities on the internet. With the combination of decentralization, automation, and sophisticated AI, Web 3.0 applications will give internet users a much better user experience. Data and web-based content will be more specific to users’ needs than ever before.
