The executive Governor of Kano state, Abdullahi Ganduje, has endorsed is deputy, Nasiru Gawuna, to become his successor in 2023. ayokinews.com reports
Ganduje made this decision during a recent stakeholders meeting of the All Progressive Congress (APC), held in Kano.

The meeting which was presided over by the state governor, had Murtala Garo, a former commissioner for local government and chieftaincy affairs, pitched as a running mate for Nasiru Gawuna, in 2023.
According to sources Garo is “believed to have the capacity to deliver votes for the party, considering his influence at local government level”.
