An official of the Sokoto state government has threatened that more Christians will be killed in same manner Deborah Samuel was slain, if they continue to make derogatory remarks against Islam’s Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W). ayokinews.com reports
On Thursday, May 12, 2022, a female student of the Shehu Shagari College of Education, in Sokoto state, identified as Deborah Samuel, was gruesomely murdered and burned for insulting Prophet Muhammad on a school WhatsApp group.
Praising the gruesome killing of Deborah Samuel was Anas Mohammad Sani, a personal assistant to the Sokoto state finance commissioner, who stated that the student was brutally murdered because her carelessness in words.
Zara Oyinye, a social media consultant for President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration, had taken to Facebook to comment on the Sokoto mob’s killing of the Christian student (Deborah Samuel).
Sani, also known on Facebook as ‘Uncle Anas Dakura’, responded to Oyinye’s post by claiming that the Muslim mob killed Deborah in defense of the holy prophet.
“Muslims don’t take insults against beloved prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم in whatever form,” he stated.
Further supporting Deborah Samuel’s killing, Sani said: “The earlier our Christian brothers and sisters understand this, the better for all of us. May the recklessness of our tongues never drive us to (an) early grave.”
On Friday morning, the so-called Sokoto government’s assistant doubled down, chastising people who were upset by the Christian student’s death.
“We have just a life to live and enjoy. We can make noise on Twitter and condemn the mob action using the Queen’s English. However, that cannot bring back Deborah back to life. More so, if anyone will repeat it tomorrow, the probability of being served same meal is 99.9%,” Sani declared.
