Popular veteran Nollywood actress, Ada Ameh has died at the age of 48-years-old, following a brief illness.
The actress passed away on Sunday night. She was mostly known for playing ‘Emu’ in the Africa Magic family drama, ‘The Johnsons’.
Emeka Rollas, the president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, confirmed the news to reporters on Monday morning.
“We lost Ada. No details at the moment, but we’ve lost Ada,” Rollas said.

However, a viral unverified information circulating on social media claims that the actress died on Sunday night at a Delta State hospital.
Few weeks ago, Ada, openly spoke about her mental health challenges, and also how she had been battling to survive.
“Everything is going to be fine. I have an issue right now, and it’s taking my life. I will not die. We will get over it,” Ameh had said.
