The All Progressives Congress (APC), UK Chapter, has bestowed the Nation Builder award on Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari, in celebration of Nigeria’s 61st Independence anniversary. ayokinews.com reports
This was made known by the APC (UK Chapter) Publicity Secretary, Jacob Ogunseye, in a statement made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
He further stated that the APC National Leader, Bola Tinubu Ahmed, was also nominated for the leadership award at the event held on Saturday at the Dorchester Hotel, London, UK.
According to the statement, Nigeria might be facing the so many challenges today but the future holds a very bright light for the country.
“It is a time to rework, re-jig, revamp and re-engineer the country for economic development and structural workability to guarantee good living standards for the entire citizenry.
The UK APC leader stated that Nigeria might not be where it ought to be as a country, but it is not where it used to be.
“We have left the sorry and perilous state we were and are now making considerable progress with a new re-invigorated and re-energised military force.
“A time was in this country that the entire nation was under siege and had over 27 of her local governments under the control of terrorists, but today, the story is entirely different.
“All thanks to the President Buhari-led administration, and many accolades to our gallant military officers who have continued to put their lives in the line of danger for us all to live,” Omole said.
