As President Muhammadu Buhari continues his tour around Saudi Arabia with a stop at Madinah, where he and his entire entourage observed prayers for the return of peace, unity and stability in Nigeria. ayokinews.com reports
President Buhari, who was earlier received and welcomed by the Deputy Governor of Madinah, Prince Sa’ud Al-Faisal, at the Prince Muhammad Abdulaziz Airport, spent a good time at the Mosque of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW), engaging in prayers coupled with the recitation of the Holy Quran.
This was made public in a statement released by the Senior Special Assistant to the President, Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, on Wednesday.
President Buhari prayed for the divine wellbeing and the full restoration of peace and stability in Nigeria and also around the globe.
Among the prayers offered was the divine recovery of the the country’s pandemic damaged economy and also for the people affected.
President Buhari further will later in the evening proceed to Makkah for the performance of the Umrah also known as the lesser Hajj.
