Nigeria President, Muhammadu Buhari, has assured Nigerians that the country would soon start enjoying a peaceful atmosphere. ayokinews.com reports
President Buhari made this known on Tuesday, while condoling the families of police officers murdered Biafra separatists in the South-East region of the country.
He promised Nigerians that they “would no longer mourn and sorrow from wanton loss of lives”.
The president’s message was contained in a statement released by his special adviser on media, publicity and spokesman, Mr. Femi Adesina.
In the statement, President Buhari lamented “the horrific nature of the bloodletting” which, he added, indicated that some minds were “completely overtaken by hatred, and reduced to the basest level imaginable”.
Condoling the bereaved families, the president prayed for the repose of the lost souls and also God’s comfort.
President Buhari further urged all those who have been affected by the raging insecurity in the country to take solace in the inevitable victory of good over evil.
