The Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) Lagos State Chapter, has issued a two-weeks ultimatum to the Nigerian federal government to resolve all issues with striking Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).
This was made known by the NLC Chairperson, Mrs. Agnes Sessy, during a protest demonstration in Ikeja, on Tuesday.
She implored the government to take action or risk a new #ENDSARS demonstration in the country.
On Tuesday, members of the NLC and other university unions took to the streets of Lagos to demonstrate against the prolonged ASUU strike, which has seen to the halt of operations in tertiary institutions.
She said: “If the Federal Government does not resolve the strike within two weeks, there would be a nationwide mass protest. In fact, the #ENDSARS protest would be a child’s play.”
