I Won’t Leave PDP For Another Party, No Matter The Pressure – Gov. Obaseki

The Executive Governor of Edo state, Godwin Obaseki, has reiterated his unflinching loyalty to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). ayokinews.com reports

Obaseki made this known while speaking on Saturday, at a banquet organized to mark the Alaghodaro Summit in Benin.

Governor Obaseki, who joined the PDP after decamping from the All Progressive Congress (APC), stated that his political party affiliation will not deter his plans for Edo state.

He further reiterated his government’s commitment towards ensuring a progressive and prosperous Edo state.

“No matter the persuasion to join any political party, I will not. I will continue to provide leadership for all Edo people. We don’t need to join another political party to develop Edo state to become a home for all.

“Our goal is to position Edo where it should be, as our state has been created to provide leadership for this country; that is how it has been and will always be.”
