The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has assured Nigerians of the banks compliance to the legitimate foreign exchange demands of customers as it rolls out it monitoring mechanisms. ayokinews.com reports
The CBN assurance was made public by the bank’s acting Director in Charge of Corporate Communications, Osita Nwanisobi, while speaking with business correspondents at the apex headquarters in Abuja.
Nwanisobi noted that the CBN had already put in place the appropriate measures to guarantee the seamless sale of forex to customers with relevant documents.

Nwanisobi also debunked the rumours of the CBN trying to meddle with the forex deposits in customers accounts while stating that such rumour should be considered as a false misinformation.
He further urged owners of domiciliary accounts and other members of the public to continue their legitimate forex transaction whilst disregarding the alleged rumor aimed at causing problems.
