Ifeanyi Adeleke, the son of famed Nigerian musician, David Adeleke and his spouse Chioma Avril Rowland, has allegedly passed away.

The news was verified in the wee hours of Tuesday morning in an Instagram post by renowned comedian Ayo Makun, often known as AY.

According to sources, Ifeanyi, who recently celebrated his third birthday, reportedly drowned in the swimming pool of his father’s Banana Island house and was taken to Lagoon Hospital on Bourdillon Road, Ikoyi, Lagos, where he died on Monday night.

The little Ifeanyi was claimed to have drowned in the family pool and was submerged for some time before being found and taken to the hospital.

Makun wrote in an Instagram post, “The death of a child is unnatural, unfair and tragic. This hits me so bad.”

Daddy Freeze, who also went live on Instagram in the early hours of Tuesday morning said, “When the person you love is someone involved it becomes a heavy emotional burden. I am not confirming anything but bear with me I will not be live tonight.”

Lasisi Elenu also posted, “Father heal your children’s heart from this pain, strengthen them in such a dark and hurtful time oh Lord.”

Reality TV star and actress, Rosemary Afuwape, said on her Instagram story, “My heart can’t take this. This is so painfully unbearable. Chioma and Davido please accept my condolences. No amount of words can comfort your hearts. I am truly sorry for your loss.”

However, the death rumor was first mentioned in a now-deleted late-Monday post by the actress Eniola Badmus.

In response to Badmus’ article, Nigerians criticized her for disclosing such private information to the public.

Ironically, Davido, his father, had been trying to build a father-son relationship by teaching him how to swim in the pool.

The singer could be seen teaching his youngster how to swim in footage that went viral on social media.

Davido and Ifeanyi could be seen in one of the videos swimming in the large pool at his house.

As he gave the three-year-old youngster instructions, he carried him and had him flap his legs in the water.

Later, as the kid was still flapping his legs, the singer was swimming with his son in tow.

Recently, the boy’s third birthday was lavishly celebrated by Davidon and his partner, Chioma.

In one of the videos, Ifeanyi and Davido were seen in his mansion’s large pool.

While instructing the three-year-old youngster on what to do, he carried him 9and made him flap his legs in the water.

Later, the musician was seen swimming about with his baby as the latter was still flapping his legs.

The boy’s third birthday was recently celebrated in style by Davidon and his partner, Chioma.ⁿ
