Popular Yoruba Nation Activist, Chief Sunday Adeyemo, also known as ‘Sunday Igboho’ has on Thursday 1st July, 2021, suspended the Saturday Yoruba Nation Rally which was set to hold in Lagos. ayokinews.com reports
Earlier on Thursday, Igboho’s residence was stormed and attacked by men of the Nigerian army who abducted his wife and killed two (2) occupants of the house.
Igboho made the suspension of the Lagos Yoruba Nation rally known during an interview with BBC News Pidgin on Thursday.
He explained that the decision to suspend the Yoruba Nation Rally became necessary due to the safety and security of the Yoruba people who would be attending the mass rally in Lagos.
