Modupe Alakija, the 72-year-old husband of female Nigerian billionaire oil mogul, Folorunsho Alakija, has been charged with severe misconduct by one of his social clubs, ‘Ikoyi Club’ in Lagos. ayokinews.com reports
For attacking a fellow member, Alakija, who is also the chairman of the family-owned company, FAMFA Oil, has been suspended.
His victim, a renowned member of the club, was allegedly ‘rude’ to him, and Alakija dazzled the guy with a blinding slap before anyone could say Jack Robinson.
The man also retaliated with an equally dazzling slap and pounced on Alakija, who was caught off guard.
But the FAMFA chairman regained his footing, and the two of them collided, the victim being beaten from all sides. According to The Capital, he was eventually freed from Alakija’s grasp, though he was badly beaten.

Alakija was given a one-year suspension for his disorderly behavior, which will end in December 2022.
Alakija is said to stroll around like a deity, with friends and acquaintances worshiping the ground he walks on being the husband of a wealthy oil billionaire.
Unfortunately, the outcome of that episode has severely harmed his ego.
