Popular micro blogging platform, Twitter, has stated that it looks forward being reinstated in the Nigerian social space following the conditional lifting of the ban on the platform by the Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari. ayokinews.com reports
This is coming barely one day after the Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari, in his 61st Independence Day speech on October 1, 2021, ordered the conditional lifting of the ban on Twitter in country following productive negotiations between both parties.
In response to to the Nigerian President’s directive, an unnamed Twitter spokesman on Friday stated; “We continue to engage with the Nigerian government and we are committed to charting a path forward to the restoration of Twitter for everyone in Nigeria.
