The Ooni of Ife, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II, has called on all Yoruba speaking entities in every sphere of life to unite regardless of social, religious and political differences. ayokinews.com reports
Ooni Ogunwusi made the unity wake-call during the sixth-year coronation anniversary, where he ascribed the Yorubas as nature born leaders who have become what he called a “compass to other nationalities”.
The Oonirisa stayed that this was the best time to solicit for the cooperation of the the Oduduwa descendants as the unity of the Yoruba people cannot be negotiable.
In his words, “In whatever we do, we must be conscious of the fact that we are being watched by others and we cannot afford to let the world down, especially those looking up to us for leadership.”
Calling for the unity of the Yorubas, Ooni against the division measures which results from politics and religious differences.

The monarch gave all glory and adorations to Olodumare (God) for seeing him through his six-years of reign, which he described as the “goodness of God Almighty”.
Ooni also recalled how the challenges which posed threats to his reign were defeated through an ethical standard of love and support.
He further urged all entire subjects to work for the goodness and glory of the Yoruba worldwide.
