Ukrainian Defense Minister, Oleksii Reznikov, has been sacked by President Volodymyr Zenlensky.
Giving reasons for the sudden sack of Oleksii, the president stated that the country needed new approaches to the situation at hand as the war with Russia enters its 19th month.
Announcing the new development, Zenlensky said, “I have decided to replace the minister of defense of Ukraine.
“Oleksii Reznikov has gone through more than 550 days of full-scale war.”
A former peoples deputy of Ukraine, Rustem Umerov, has now been appointed as Reznikov’s replacement.
Following his sack as Defense Minister, Reznikov submitted his resignation letter on Monday.
