President Buhari, made this known while speaking at the wedding ceremony of Jachimike Ikpeazu, son of Abia State Governor Okezie Ikpeazu, in Umuahia, Abia State.
Buhari, who was represented at the occasion by the Minister of State for Mines and Steel Development, Dr. Uche Ogah, stated that the challenges facing Nigeria as a country is due to the diminishing emphasis on the importance of family values.

The President lamented that parents who are suppose to inculcate good moral characters in their wards have abdicated their primary duties, thus leaving the country in danger.
“Marriage is family value, character. The reason why there are issues in society today is because families are broken. When values are enshrined in families, the entire society will be good,” he said.
