Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari, has departed Nigeria for New York, US, to attend the 76th annual United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). ayokinews.com reports
This was made known by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, on Sunday.
Adesina stated that President Muhammadu Buhari would be joining his counterparts (world leaders) for the 76th UNGA slated for September 14.

The Presidential spokesman disclosed that the Nigerian president would be addressing the UN assembly during the general debates on Friday.
Adesina stated that President Muhammadu Buhari is expected to speak on the UNGA theme titled, “Building resilience through hope – to recover from COVID-19, rebuild sustainably, respond to the needs of the planet, respect the rights of people and revitalize the United Nations” along with other pressing issues affecting the planet.
