Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress, APC’s presidential candidate for the 2023 election, has finally decided to name Senator Kashim Shettima, a fellow Muslim politician as his running mate.
The former governor of Lagos State had earlier been urged by several stakeholders against choosing a Muslim running mate since a Muslim-Muslim ticket would exclude Christians.
However, speaking at a press conference on Sunday, in Katsina, Tinubu stated that he has decided to run with Senator Shettima.

Shettima served two terms as governor of Borno State and also represents Borno Central Senatorial District in the Red Chamber.
Tinubu and some stakeholders met with President Buhari in his hometown, Daura, Katsina state, on Sunday.
