The Osun State High Court sitting at Oshogbo, has sentenced billionaire educationist and hotelier, Chief Ramon Adedoyin to death by hanging for the murder of Timothy Adegoke.
Delivering the verdict on Tuesday, the Chief Judge of Osun State, Justice Adepele Ojo, also sentenced to death two staffs Hilton Hotels, Ile-Ife, Adeniyi Aderogba and Kazeem Oyetunde.
Recall that Timothy Adegoke was a postgraduate student of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile Ife, who died in November, 2021 at Hilton Hotels, Ile-Ife, Osun State.
It was leanrt that three staffs of the hotel, Magdalene Chiefuna, Lawrence Oluwole and Adedeji Adesola were discharged and acquitted by the court while the sentencing for the seventh defendant is to be passed on Wednesday.
Adedoyin, who is the Chairman of Hilton Hotels, Ile-Ife, was charged along with six staffs of the hotel, namely Magdalene Chiefuna, Adeniyi Aderogba, Oluwole Lawrence, Oyetunde Kazeem, Adebayo Kunle and Adedeji Adesola.
The defendants were charged on an 18-count charge basing on murder, conspiracy, oath of secrecy among others.
