The Federal Government is revising its accusation against Kanu for the sixth time.
Kanu is currently facing charges of treasonable felony, terrorism, and other associated offenses by the federal government.
The prosecution’s lawyer, Shuaibu Labaran, notified the court that he was ready to proceed with the trial shortly after accepting the plea of not guilty.

However, Nnamdi Kanu’s legal team, led by Mike Ozekhome SAN, protested, claiming that he has two petitions contested the charge’s legitimacy and jurisdiction.
The entire claim, according to Ozekhome, is “watery, unfounded, and like a pack of cards destined to collapse.” Due to Ozekhome’s request for an adjournment, the trial judge, Justice Binta Nyako, adjourned the beginning of the trial to February 16.
