The Soun of Ogbomoso kingdom, Oba Oladunni Oyewumi, Ajagungbade III, has passed away, as reported by PUNCH. ayokinews.com reports
The passing of the first-class monarch spread like wildfire across the Yoruba speaking region on Sunday.
Sources close to the Yoruba monarch, confirmed to newsmen that the 95-year-old ruler died in the early hours on Sunday.
The report was also corroborated by two other highly placed sources in the town.

A source said: “It is true that Baba has passed on. It happened this morning but it has not been announced officially.
“He lived a good life and left many good legacies. The palace will soon announce it.”
The late Oba Oladunni Oyewumi, Ajagungbade III, was born on May 27, 1926, in Ogbomoso, to the then ruler of the town, Oba Bello Afolabi Oyewumi Ajagungbade II and Olori Seliat Olatundun Oyewumi.
He ascended the throne of his fathers on October 24, 1973.
