US Removed Nigeria From Religious Freedom Violators’ List
Nigerian presidential spokesman and special adviser on media, publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, has explained that Nigeria was removed from the list of countries blacklisted for “engaging in violation of religious freedom” because the United States discovered it acted on incorrect positions. ayokinews.com reports
Adesina stated this while talking on Sunrise Daily, a Channels Television program, where he said that the US removed Nigeria from the list when it discovered that the earlier placement of the country wasn’t based on facts.
He noted that the US government was being fed with wrong information by Nigerian citizens about what is happening in the country.

Adesina stated that the removal of Nigeria from the list was a great development for the country as the truth is finally being unveiled.
“The secretary said putting Nigeria on the watchlist was not based on facts, and you know that Nigerians themselves going to America to feed them with incorrect positions about what is happening in Nigeria. And that was why Nigeria was put on that watchlist,” he said.
“But when America discovered that it was not based on facts, Nigeria was removed. It is a very good development for us.”
