It should be recalled that Ayokinews had earlier reported the arrest and deportation of leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, from Kenya and also the bloody raid on the Ibadan residence of popular Yoruba Nation agitator, Chief Sunday Adeyemo also known as Sunday Igboho, who is currently in prison in Benin Republic.
Speaking during a live Independence Day broadcast on Friday, President Muhammadu Buhari, noted that intelligence investigations on secessionist activities in the country had yielded a lot of progressive results.

In his words, “The recent arrests of Nnamdi Kanu and Sunday Adeyemo, and the ongoing investigations being conducted have revealed certain high-profile financiers behind these individuals.”
“We are vigorously pursuing these financiers including one identified as a serving member of the national assembly,” President Muhammadu Buhari said.
