The General Overseer of the Citadel Global Community Church (CGCG), Pastor Tunde Bakare, has requested that President Muhammadu Buhari spearhead the change of the current Nigerian 1999 constitution. ayokinews.com reports
Bakare stated that the 1999 Nigerian constitution is the main causative agent of the various challenges facing the country while describing it as “a glorified death certificate.”
Speaking on his State of the Nation TV broadcast, Bakare challenged President Buhari to step-up and take the lead instead of passing the bulk of his duty to the National Assembly.
He asked President Muhammadu Buhari to “tear down this inhibitive constitution” so that there can be a smooth progress in the country.
Speaking on the issue of zoning, Bakare noted that the restructuring and change of the Nigerian constitution should be the most paramount issue at hand.
Bakare further unveiled the formation of Nigeria for Nigerians (N4N) Movement, a group which aim and objective is to take back Nigeria and restore its lost glory.
Speaking on the N4N launch, he noted that the movement was incorporated because it is the right time for patriotic Nigerians to take back their country from the shackles of bad leadership.
Further speaking about the upcoming 2023 Presidential election, Pastor Bakare stated that “there will be a change of government in 2023.”
