A Westminster Magistrate court has ruled that David Ukpo, the alleged kidney donor to Beatrice Ekweremadu, is not a minor as earlier claimed.
The ruling was given on Thursday, when former Nigerian Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu and his wife appeared before the court for trial.
During the hearing, the prosecution accepted being 21-years of age, contradicting previous claim of being 15-years-old.

However, the court insisted he was being exploited, thereby denying Ekweremadu bail.
The court further adjourned the next hearing till August 4.
Ike Ekweremadu, a senator representing Enugu West and his wife are accused of conspiring to facilitate the travel of another person with the intention of exploitation, namely organ harvesting.
