The discovery of the Omicron variant of the COVIF-19 disease has dealt a huge blow on the entire Africa continent as many European and Asian countries have started placing a travel ban on South Africans, Nigerians etc. ayokinews.com reports
Following the UK and other European countries travel ban on Nigeria, the Islamic Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have now suspended all flights Nigeria.
This was confirmed by the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) in Saudi Arabia, who made it known that the kingdom won’t be allowing flights from Nigeria as a result of the Omicron variant spread in the country.
Meanwhile, an unconfirmed reports was circulated on Wednesday, stating that there were preparations for repatriating Nigerians and other African in the Kingdom over Omicron.

Also confirming the report to the Daily Trust was an official at the Kano Airport, who reveal led that a circular had already been released, stating that all lesser Hajj trips should be cancelled, due to the development.
“Yes it is true because a circular was issued that all Lesser Hajj flights should be cancelled and there will be no more flights from Nigeria until further notice.”
“I think they are following suit the decision of other countries like UK to prevent against having the virus in the kingdom,” the source told the newspaper.
