Oba Gbadegesin Ogunoye III, the Olowo of Owo, has announced the arrest of the culprits behind the tragic attack on St Francis Catholic Church in Owo, Ondo State, on Sunday. ayokinews.com reports
The assailants attacked on Sunday when attendees were attending mass, killing at least 50 people and many injured.
Residents of the town were seen celebrating the capture of the assailants, who were thought to be bandits, in a footage that surfaced yesterday.

Their apprehension was thereafter announced by the Olowo (monarch).
It is still unknown how the suspects were apprehended. Some have speculated that the community used old-fashioned traditional methods to make the arrest.
