Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky, has warned about dangers of impending Russian attack on NATO, should it fail to impose a no-fly zone. ayokinews.com reports
He repeated the warning, saying it is only a matter of time until Russia strikes NATO countries.
“Last year, I made a clear warning to NATO leaders that if there were no tough preventive sanctions against Russia, it would start a war,” Zelensky said in a Sunday video address posted on his Facebook page.
“We were right … Now I repeat again — if you do not close our sky, it is only a matter of time before Russian missiles fall on your territory. NATO territory. On the homes of citizens of NATO countries,” he added.
Sanctions imposed on Russia akin to declaration of war, says Putin
The President also stated that talks with Russia to stop the war are underway, and that a meeting between him and Russian President Vladimir Putin is possible.
He also said that representatives from both nations’ delegations meet practically everyday in video format, with the goal of ensuring “a meeting of the presidents, the meeting that I am sure people are waiting for.”
