The President who was represented at the event by the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Otunba ‘Niyi Adebayo, made this known while giving a keynote address at the opening ceremony of the 35th edition of Lagos International Trade Fair themed, ‘Connecting Businesses, Creating Value,’ organized by the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI).

President Buhari while giving his speech, highlighted trade and commerce as to be the central channel of eradicating poverty, raising peoples’ standards of living, improving productivity and accelerating economic growth in the country.
He noted that one of the policy thrusts that the federal government was deploying to facilitate trade and market access, was the imminent revision of Nigeria’s trade policy.
