Former Nigerian Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, has challenged the federal government to fix up the country’s power sector, saying Nigeria can no longer be steered backward in a technology driven world. ayokinews.com reports
Atiku stated that Nigeria needed a leader who is capable of leading the country to its peak and also positioning the country in the positive corner for global economic growth.
The former Vice President made this known while speaking at the 70th birthday and public lecture with the theme, ‘Technology: A missing link in Nigeria’s development’ and presentation of a book in honour of Emeritus Chairman of DAAR Communications Plc, Chief Raymond Dokpesi, in Abuja.
He stated that the country needs a leader who understands the concept and importance of technology and is willing to reform the economy through smart digital innovations.

Further speaking, Atiku noted that beyond having technology enthusiasts, the country also needs a leader who will unify, restructure and guarantee the security of the citizens.
Concluding his speech, the former Vice President stated that he is the right leader to lead the Nigeria to the peak above other nations.
“Nigeria needs a leadership that can unify the country, bring stability, restructure the country, reform the economy and bring about cohesion to the nation”, former VP Atiku said.
