The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), has assured Nigerians that steps are being taken to facilitate smooth recruitment process into the agency.
The is coming after the NDLEA application portal crashed within 24 hours of the application process commencement.
A statement made by on Wednesday by Director of Media and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi, confirmed that technical difficulties occurred.
It was learned that over 200,000 applicants reportedly attempted to access the portal at the same time.
According to Babafemi, the organization upgraded its infrastructure on March 14 to handle the high number of applicants.
He said the site was improved “after over 53,170 applicants had successfully logged into the portal”.
“The system is synchronizing the data at the back-end of the infrastructure in order to adjust to the server upgrade,” he noted.
The anti-narcotics agency apologized to the applicants and pleaded with them to wait as the system synchronized.
