Former Kenyan President Mwai Kibaki, has died at the age of 90. ayokinews.com reports
Kibaki was the third president of Kenya from 2003 to 2013.
His death was announced by President Uhuru Kenyatta on Friday.
Kibaki administration is credited with recovering Kenya’s then ailing economy, but his presidency was overshadowed by violence that erupted after his contested re-election in December 2007.

Following his exit announcement, President Uhuru Kenyatta has declared a period of mourning in honor of Kibaki, during which flags will be lowered to half-mast.
