The Nigerian Federal Government has announced that the country is set to begin the manufacturing of Made-in-Nigeria helicopters, with experts already trained for the mass production.
This was made public by the Prof. Mohammed Sani Haruna, Executive Vice-Chairman of the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI), shortly after a brief meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari.
Speaking with state house correspondents, Prof. Haruna clarified that he was at the presidential villa to update the president on the agency’s operations and provide him with a copy of the its financial report.

In a bid to support NASENI’s operations and engineering advancements, President Buhari had authorized the allocation of 1% of the Federation Allocation to the agency in 2021.
However, President Buhari has given NASENI approval to spend N24 billion on a smart modular irrigation project.
