Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso in Oyo State, has been ranked as the 11th best university in Nigeria by AD Scientific Index Limited, a leading global ranking body based in Turkey. ayokinews.com reports
This was made known in a statement released and signed by the university’s Public Relations Officer, Lekan Fadeyi, on Wednesday in Ibadan.
In the latest ranking, LAUTECH was ranked as the 11th best Nigerian University in the 2021 world scientist and university rankings while the university was also ranked as the 74th best in Africa.
Also speaking on the ranked top scholars from the university, Fadeyi said, “Among top scholars at the university are Prof. Agbaje Lateef, Prof. Olugbenga Bello and Prof. Abass Olajire, who were placed 32nd, 48th and 76th respectively in Nigeria.
“Lateef is from the institution’s Department of Pure and Applied Biology, while the duo of Bello and Olajire are from the Department of Pure and Applied Chemistry”.
Expressing his delight on the new development, LAUTECH Acting Vice Chancellor, Prof. Mojeed Liasu, commended the university scholars for continuously remaining at the top 100 scholars in Nigeria while also encouraging them to keep up the good works.
