NASS Passes Electoral Act Amendment Bill, Approves E-Transmission Of Results

The Nigerian National Assembly has approved the conference committee report on the Electoral Act (Amendment) Bill after motion was moved by Senate Leader, Yahaya Abdullahi, on Tuesday. ayokinews.com reports

The committee report had both chambers of the National Assembly, empower the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to decide on the best means of transmitting election results.

In the report, direct primaries for political aspirants to all elective positions was embedded and shall be monitored be the electoral commission (INEC).
