The Special Investigation Panel (SIP) has submitted its investigative probe report of disgraced Nigerian Super cop and former Head, Intelligence Response Team (IRT) DCP Abba Kyari, to the Inspector-General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba. ayokinews.com reports
The four-man investigative panel which was set up two (2) weeks ago to probe the disgraced Nigerian super cop, DCP Abba Kyari’s involvement in a $1.1 million cyber fraud which was linked to popular Instagram celebrity/influencer Ramon Igbalode Abbas also known as ‘Ray Hushpuppi’, submitted its probe report to the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Usman Alkali Baba, on Monday.
Abba Kyari was indicted after the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), found him guilty of aiding Hushpuppi in detaining one Mr. Chibuzor so as to enable him and his co-conspirators to fleece a whooping sum of $1million dollars from their Qatari victim.
Abba Kyari was later suspended from the Nigerian Police Force on the 1st August, 2021, following his involvement in the purported fraud after which a Special Investigation Panel (SIP), was set up to look into the crime involving the Nigerian super cop.
Appearing before the Special Investigation Panel (SIP), Abba Kyari denied allegations of him aiding Hushpuppi carry out the cyber fraud as alleged by the FBI.
