A Chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, has said that the coming Saturday, March 18th election, will determine the true owner of Lagos State.
Fani-Kayode had in a tweet said that Lagos State’s identity will be put to the toughest test and challenge.
He urged the Yorubas and those with good conscience to support Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Saturday.
He wrote: “On Sat. 18th March Lagos State will face the stiffest test & greatest challenge to its efficacy & identity since it came into existence. The question of who owns Lagos will finally be determined & the guests that seek to claim Yoruba land as their own will be put in their place.
“I urge every son & daughter of the Yoruba together with all men & women of goodwill to come out on that day and vote for @jidesanwoolu who has proved that he is not only a true omo-oluabi but also a first-class leader and administrator.”
Disputes between Yorubas and Igbos have occurred in Lagos State as a result of the recent concluded presidential election.
This occurred after Peter Obi, the presidential candidate for the Labour Party, LP, won the state of Lagos.
Following the election, an Igbo populated market in the State was razed to ashes, with many suspecting political thugs as the cause.
