The recently ousted President of Gabon, Ali Bongo, has cried out to the international community for help amidst his oust from power.
President Ali Bongo, on Wednesday, called out to all international friends and allies to come to his rescue after he was arrested by the military junta following the coup which overthrew his family’s 56-year reign.
Crying for help, the ousted president said: “I am Ali Bongo Ondimba, President of Gabon and i am to send a message to all the friends that we have all of the world to make noise to make noise for the people here have arrested me and my family. My son is somewhere, my wife is in another place and i am at the residence. Right now, i am at the residence and nothing is happening and i don’t know what is going, and i am asking you to make noise, to make noise, to make noise and i am thanking you, thank you.”
Meanwhile, Gabonese citizens had been jubilating, singing the national anthem in the capital, Libreville and Port-Gentil.
