Ladan Bosso, the head coach of the Flying Eagles, is now concentrated on winning his first title at the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Indonesia.
The recently-concluded Africa U-20 Cup of Nations in Egypt saw the seven-time defending champions of Africa finish with the bronze medal after falling short of winning another championship.
In the third-place game, the Flying Eagles beat Tunisia 4-0 to successfully conclude the match.
Despite their earlier failure, Bosso believes his squad can succeed in the World Cup.
“Our fresh target is doing very well at the FIFA World Cup,” Bosso said during the reception organized for the team in Abuja on Monday night.
“That is our next target and we will work hard to ensure we bring the trophy to Nigeria.”
The Flying Eagles have twice advanced to the U-20 World Cup final, however both times they finished in second place.
