On Monday, February 14, Precious Chikwendu, a former beauty queen and the estranged wife of Nigerian ex-Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, was charged before the Federal High Court seated in Abuja (FCT). ayokinews.com reports
Precious was charged for attempting to murder her husband (Fani-Kayode) with a kitchen knife and was presented before Justice Inyang Ekwo.
The Commissioner of Police filed a complaint against her and three other individuals with case number FHCABJ/CR/1/2022. Emmanuel Anakan, Prisca Chikwendu, and Osakwe Azubuike are among the other defendants.
A 13-count charge filed on January 7, had the defendants being charged with cybercrime, intimidation to murder FFK via the internet, and threatening to kill one Miss. Lauretta, in order to make her end close connection with the politician.
Among the accusations was the invention of fake evidence and forcing the accusations to be electronically published in a major daily in order to frame FFK (her husband) for physically and sexually molesting members of his domestic staff.

Precious, a mother of four, was also charged for referring to Fani-Kayode as “Mr Short Fuse” in a post made on her Facebook page on December 7, 2021. She is also accused of falsely accusing FFK of being “sexually incapable” and of not being the biological father of the four children she had during the course of being his wife.
The defendants, however, pleaded not guilty to all 13-count charge filed against them which are punishable under Section 392 of the Penal Code.
John Ijagbemi, the prosecuting attorney, requested a trial date, which was set for April 27, 28, and 29, by the presiding judge, Justice Ekwo.
Meanwhile, the Defense Counsel, Alex Ejesieme (SAN), requested that the court grant bail to the defendants based on previously granted administrative bail by the police.
