The Doctor noted that the Denmark Midfielder, 29, who collapsed is now in a medically stable condition as he’s to undergo some medical tests before his discharge.
“In the next few days, he will be subjected to in-depth examinations,” Piero Volpi said.
According to the Doctor, he stated that there had never been any history of Eriksen displaying any symptom of underlying health condition while he was at Tottenham or Inter as there were strict playing rules that must be adhered by all players.
“The important thing is that he is well, but there had never been an episode that even remotely hinted at a problem when he was at Tottenham nor at Inter. In Italy, there are very strict controls.”
Eriksen, 29, fell to the turf in the 43rd minute of Denmark’s opening of the Euro 2020 game, lying unconscious as medical personnels administered CPR. He was later carried off the pitch and rushed to the hospital.
