Rio Ferdinand, a former Manchester United defender, has said that Victor Osimhen is too pricey for the club to purchase.
Osimhen has continued to be associated with the Red Devils, who are searching for a new striker since Cristiano Ronaldo left for Saudi side, Al-Nassr.
According to reports, United inquired about Osimhen last summer but were turned off by Napoli’s expensive asking price.
Recognizing Osimhen’s potential, Ferdinand suggested his old team sign Mehdi Taremi from Porto.
“I would have gone and got Taremi in from Porto,” the United legend said when the club’s search for a striker was raised on his YouTube show, ‘Vibe with Five’.
“It’s massive money, 100 million, 120 million, [Victor] Osimhen, you’re getting charged. You’re paying big dough for these guys.”
