Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag, has received heap praises from Newcastle United legend Alan Shearer for defeating Cristiano Ronaldo.
He stated that the Red Devils could only finish in the top four of the Premier League if they sign a striker in January.
Manchester United had terminated Cristiano Ronaldo’s contract after the latter granted an interview with popular British Journalist, Piers Morgan l, following series of altercation with manager, Erik Ten Hag.
The Red Devils are now Top 4 of the Premier League after giving Bournemouth a sounding defeat at Old Trafford on Tuesday night.
Manchester United must now finish higher than Chelsea, Tottenham, and Liverpool to qualify for the Champions League next season.
“It’s been tough for him (Ten Hag) to have to deal with the Ronaldo situation. He won that battle, which was a big battle for him to win.
“I’m sure they’ll try to strengthen in the next couple of weeks and if they can – particularly in the forward area… then they’ll have a good go at being in that top four and staying in there,” said Shearer.
