The Governor of Kaduna state, Nasir El-rufai, has urged the people of the state to shun the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and vote for the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the forthcoming 2023 general election. ayokinews.com reports
El-rufai made the wake-up call while speaking at an empowerment programme in Kaduna, on Wednesday.
The governor stated that the PDP should not be allowed to return back to power in 2023 as he claims they destroy good legacies and draw the country backwards.
He further urged the people of Kaduna to rally round and vote for his anointed candidate in the forthcoming 2023 general election, while asking them to trust his choice candidate for the next Governor of Kaduna state.
El-rufai said, “Some people said that what we have done now cannot be reversed, wrong. A bad governor, a PDP governor can reverse this in six months.
“Don’t make the mistake of voting PDP back into office in 2023. If you do, things will go back to what they used to be. While we go through our process as APC and bring out a candidate and I endorse that candidate, please trust me that that person will be the better governor of Kaduna from 2023 and beyond.”
