Operatives from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), on Tuesday, stormed the Abuja residence of Sen. Rochas Okorocha, the former governor of Imo State. ayokinews.com reports
Okorocha is one of the 2023 presidential hopefuls aspiring for Nigeria’s number one position under the All Progressives Congress (APC).

According to the former governor’s aide, the EFCC operatives who invaded the Senator’s residence in Abuja’s Maitama neighborhood without an arrest warrant insisted on dragging the Imo West federal lawmaker away by force.
Despite the lack of specifics about the operatives’ visit, Okorocha’s aide, who did not want his name mentioned, said the EFCC operation was aimed at preventing the former governor from attending the APC presidential aspirants’ screening.
