The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), has freed the ex-Governor of Anambra state, Willie Obiano, on administrative bail. ayokinews.com reports
Obiano’s release was confirmed to DailyTrust by a source close to the anti-graft agency.
The embattled former governor was freed by the EFCC on Wednesday evening, shortly after his bail conditions were met.
The source revealed that Obiano’s release by the anti-graft agency, was coupled with the bail condition which required the seizure of his international passport.
Recall that Willie Obiano, was apprehended by the EFCC at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos, while on his way to the United States of America (USA) last week Thursday, at approximately 8:30 p.m.
