The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), has began the interrogation of a former Senate President, Anyim Pius Anyim, over a corruption case centered on the diversion of public funds. ayokinews.com reports
Senator Anyim, who arrived at the EFCC headquarters in Abuja at about 3:00pm on Sunday, is now currently being grilled over his involvement in the corruption case leveled against him.
Though details of the specific allegations against the former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), were sketchy as of the time of filing this report.
A source familiar with the case, who spoke to Channels Television, revealed that investigation is linked to the corruption and money laundering case involving former Aviation Minister and serving senator, Senator Stella Oduah.
Part of the rehabilitation funds which was estimated to the tune of N780 million was reportedly traced to a company in which Senator Anyim has business interests.
