The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) agents from the Port Harcourt Zonal Command on Thursday, arrested 13 alleged internet fraudsters.
This was said in a statement made available to journalists on Friday that was signed by the spokesperson for the commission, Mr. Wilson Uwujaren.
According to the statement, the suspects were apprehended early on July 28, 2022, during a sting operation in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

The arrested suspects were identified as: Austin Fama, Victor Lucky, Victor Apugo, Emeka Chukwu, Tariesi Ego, Best Okon Akpan, Kenneth Ekeke, Divine Umoh, Abasii Bianuake, Life Attai, Daniel Assor, Orji Michael Kelechi and John Amadi.
Items confiscated from the suspects included cars, cell phones of various brands, ATM cards, and laptops.
“They will be charged to court as soon as the investigation is concluded,” the statement added.
